STEPHEN HENDRY has rewritten snooker's record books again by sprinting into the £460,000 Benson and Hedges Masters semifinals at the Wembley Conference Centre.
The world champion, already the winner of five Masters titles, needed only 73 minutes last night to silence a packed 1,800 strong crowd with a ruthless 6-0 demolition of local hero Jimmy White - and breaking his own record for consecutive points scored without an opponent potting a single ball.
Hendry's burst of 487 unbroken points, which began when he cleared up with a 69 break in the opening frame and ended when he missed a red in the fifth, overtook the 454 points mark he set against Willie Thorne in the last 16 of the 1994 UK championship.
"I don't think I've ever hit the ball as good as that, even when I made seven century breaks against Ken Doherty in the UK final a couple of years ago," admitted the 27 year old Scot.
"Jimmy didn't do a lot wrong - I just kept him off the table."
