TEAM NEWS:THE SERIOUSNESS of the injury picked up by Damien's Duff in Fulham's defeat by Arsenal on Saturday may become clearer today with the results of scans likely to reveal whether his availability for Ireland's World Cup qualifiers against Italy and Montenegro is threatened.
Duff limped out of the London derby after just nine minutes. Pending news on the extent of the problem, his repeated problems with injury in recent seasons have contributed to concerns regarding his fitness.
“He felt something go in his calf,” said Fulham manager Roy Hodgson after the game. “We won’t know how serious it is until we get the results of a scan. There was no one near him when he went down, it’s just one of those freak situations.”
Saturday’s game was Duff’s eighth for Craven Cottage.
