The hatred which exists between Leeds and Manchester United supporters has fuelled a bitter and intense rivalry between the two teams over the years. If there is one game during the course of a season the fans of either club would want to see their side win, then this is it.

Alex Ferguson's men have proved the dominant force during the past few seasons - the last six meetings between the two clubs have seen the champions win five and draw one.

Leeds have also failed to find the net against their nemesis for 328 minutes as United have won the last three games by scorelines of 3-0, 1-0 and 2-0. But, going into tomorrow's high-noon showdown at Elland Road, manager David O'Leary will arguably field his strongest line-up since taking charge 29 months ago, his team brimming with confidence again.

"We know what this game means to the Leeds fans and if there is one game they would want us to win during the course of the season then it's this one," said captain Radebe.

"We've had some great results recently, both in the league and in Europe, so why shouldn't we be able to do it against Manchester United?"

However, Roy Keane is ready to fight all the way to make sure the Premiership crown remains in the Old Trafford trophy cabinet.

"We can't let our competitive level drop in the Premiership, we've got to keep going out there and doing the business," said the Manchester United captain.

Leeds' David Batty will pit his wits against Keane in what is likely to be an explosive confrontation.

Batty, who helped Leeds win their last title in 1992, feels that not even that team could hold a candle to the current crop of stars at Elland Road. "I have to say this team is better than any side Leeds have ever had. And it can get better as well," he said. "I cannot really compare it to the Don Revie era (of the 1970s) though because I don't know too much about that time. What I do know is we have some great players here and a strong squad as well.

"So can we challenge the dominance of Manchester United? It's easy to say `yes', but you don't know. They are so far ahead of everybody at the moment and it's going to take a while to catch them up."
