REPUBLIC OF IRELAND striker Daryl Murphy’s proposed move to Ipswich has apparently collapsed after he declined the personal terms on offer from the club. The Irishman is still expected to leave Sunderland, however, with Hull City reported to be interested in signing the 26-year-old.
Paul McShane had also previously been linked with a move from the Stadium of Light to Roy Keane’s new club and he may be more amenable to departing after Steve Bruce completed the signing of Paraguayan Paolo da Silva yesterday.
The right-sided defender has played more than 50 times for his country and is currently the national team’s captain.
He can play at right back of centre-half.
