Carlow SHC Final/M Leinster Rangers 1-10 St Mullins 1-8:Mount Leinster Rangers captain Seán Michael Murphy scored a controversial and ultimately winning 55th-minute goal as they retained their title at Dr Cullen Park yesterday. From Edward Coady's delivery Murphy handballed the sliotar to the net.

The controversy centred on whether a ball can be handpassed to the net. The score stood and Rangers had retained the title. St Mullins led when Paudie Kehoe scored a 39th-minute goal to put them 1-6 to 0-8 in front.
