AN ALPINE skiing holiday planned by Down's James McCartan has compounded Ulster manager Brian NcEniff's task of putting a team together for the Railway Cup game with Munster in Clones on Sunday.

McEniff, who is becoming disillusioned with team problems for Sunday's game, has had to go to some lengths to acquire the services of players over the past 48 hours. However, last night, he had to abandon his mission and was forced to defer a team announcement until today.

He still holds out hope of persuading McCartan and Tony Boyle to make themselves available. Boyle is set to play in a festival football challenge for Donegal against Galway in Manchester on Sunday.

. The National Hurling League Division Two tie between Dublin and Laois, originally refixed for Sunday at Parnell Park, has been postponed once more and is now fixed for Saturday March 16th at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise.
