Teenager Colin Lowth of Cormorant SC completed his programme in Perth yesterday with a good deal of satisfaction. With the O'Connor brothers, Adrian and Hugh, and Nick O'Hare yet to complete their schedules, at this stage, Lowth is the most impressive of the Irish quartet. He added a personal best performance over 100 metres butterfly to the new Irish record for 200 metres he attained on Wednesday. In yesterday's 100 metres heats, Lowth clocked 57.56 seconds to trim his previous best by over a second. He finished fourth in his heat and 49th overall in an entry of 70.

Nick O'Hare goes in the 50 metres freestyle today and Ireland's involvement in the championships will be completed tomorrow when Adrian and Hugh O'Connor compete in the 200 metres backstroke.
