There is not going to be much rest for quite a few members of Ireland's under-21 squad when they return home from the Junior World Cup in Tasmania.
Although they will have played eight games within a fortnight in the gruelling Hobart tournament, at least four of the eight Munstermen in the party will be needed for the province's senior squad for the opening match of the interprovincial championship against Ulster in Dublin on November 3rd.
On the club scene in Leinster, Trinity will be anxious to have Michael Harte back to bolster the side as soon as possible while Glenanne will welcome Joe Brennan's return to the defence.
In the meantime, Pembroke and Glenanne will enjoy spirited challenges from Aer Lingus and UCD, at the airport and Belfield, respectively, tomorrow. John McInerney, the Aer Lingus coach, has one injury doubt, Ben Chillingworth having received 16 stitches to head wounds in the course of his side's unbeaten run.
Monkstown, who held Pembroke to a draw last month, inflicted the first defeat of the season on the champions last night, winning their Neville Cup tie 1-0 through a goal by Ali Murdoch. They will be expected to take full points from Three Rock Rovers at Rathdown tomorrow.
