Limerick 1-10 Clare 0-10:LIMERICK STAGED a great second-half comeback to beat Clare in the Munster Under-21 football championship at Cooraclare last night. A goal by Cormac Joyce-Power was the turning point 10 minutes from the end. Limerick had to forfeit home advantage when the Gaelic Grounds was deemed unplayable at noon yesterday.

Limerick had the opening two points from Eoghan O’Connor and Tony McMahon, but Clare settled and points from Garry Leahy and Paudge McMahon had them level. There followed 18 minutes without a score before McMahon put Clare in front for the first time with a point which was followed by two more by Leahy and another by McMahon to have Clare 0-6 to 0-2 in front at the end of the half.

Limerick dominated a one-sided second half but had to wait for the goal to regain the lead.
