LEINSTER MHC ROUND THREE: Laois 1-9 Dublin 1-6:DUBLIN ARE out of this year's Leinster championship, having failed in their attempt at Portlaoise on Saturday to reach a sixth provincial minor semi-final in succession.
Playing with the assistance of a strong breeze in the opening half, Laois looked in trouble when they trailed at the interval by 0-3 to 1-2, conceding the goal midway through the half when Naomhan Reardon slammed the ball past the home goalkeeper.
Dublin should have pulled away in the second half, but a point by Niall Foyle reduced the margin to a single point and although Oran Ó Maoileidigh replied immediately it was the home team that dominated the second half. The decisive score came in the ninth minute of the second half when William Dunphy beat the visiting goalkeeper from close range.
