JAMES BURNS, whose Tossup may figure prominently in the Group Two Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket this afternoon, is represented at Naas this evening by Danccini in the Viginia EBF Maiden.

This Dancing Dissident filly swerved at the start on her debut run over six furlongs on this course last month and in the circumstances did extremely well to fill third place to Mynador and Maratana.

Now that she drops in distance she cannot afford another tardy start, and it might be worth taking a chance with the Con Collins-trained newcomer, Lady Assassin, whose dame, Jambo Jambo, was a lightening fast juvenile when trained by Noel Meade.

Mick O'Toole's Hogans Alley encountered an above average maiden when chasing home Symboli Kildare at the Curragh. The Maelstrom Lake gelding would only have to repeat that performance to have a first-rate chance in the Derrinstown Apprentice Series Maiden.

Sand Or Stone, Loughmogue and Ben Bruff were separated only by inches on their last meeting on this track. Ben Bruff did not have the best of runs on that occasion and might come out on top in the Sallins Handicap.

Auntie Maureen and Clanlucky were both travelling like possible winners at the last meeting here until Onyourown arrived on the scene. At the line the pair were divided by a head and it should be close between them again in the Prosperous Handicap, with Clanlucky chosen to win for the Owen Weldon stable.
