GALWAY SFC SEMI-FINAL: Killererin 0-14 Mountbellew/Moylough 1-9 (After extra time): THE TWO dominant forces in Galway football for the past two decades will meet in the county SFC final for the first time after Nicky Joyce steered Killererin into their fifth final in 11 years.

They will now meet holders Corofin in the final with the pair having won 13 of the last 19 titles, with the champions trying to win three-in-a-row for the first time.

Eight points from Nicky Joyce and five more from his cousin Pádraic saw off the brave Mountbellew/Moylough challenge led by Joe Bergin at Tuam Stadium on Saturday evening. Nicky Joyce forced extra-time with a last-gasp free and Killererin took control with four points in the first period. But a Seán Sweeney goal kept the game alive before Pádraic Joyce finally sealed the issue.
