Karlheinz Riedle (34) will end his glittering playing days at Fulham after completing a £200,000 switch from Liverpool. The German international has signed an 18-month contract with the First Division club after failing to make an impact with Gerard Houllier's new-look Anfield team. Riedle chose Fulham ahead of three Premiership clubs - thought to be Derby, Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle.
