A DRAW was a fair result between the National League first division and the Dutch Amateur League in a representative game played at Terryland Park last night.
The visitors had their first chance on goal when Jos Van Rijswijk unleashed a shot from 22 yards on the left, but it was safely gathered by Michael Devine. The National League took the lead after 35 minutes when Antonio Izzi shot at the Dutch goalkeeper, Rob Gebbink, who parried the ball into the path of the Limerick FC play once more and he who scored from 16 yards.
The Dutch got their equaliser in the 19th minute when substitute, Marty n Van Galen, sent a cross from the left which was met by Michael Drummen, who scored from just inside the area.
. The National League fixture between Shamrock Rovers and UCD, scheduled for tomorrow, has been put back to Sunday at Tolka Park (3.15) Rovers expect John Toal, Peter Eccles and Sean Francis, who have all been out of action through injury, to be back in the squad for the weekend.
