With 12 All-Ireland senior camogie medals already to her name Kilkenny's Anne Downey attempts to add to her sporting CV at this weekend's Veterans' Home Internationals in Dublin when she leads the Irish women's over-40 squash team in the event.

Almost 100 players, from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales, will be competing in three men's (over-45, 50 and 55) and two women's (over 40 and 45) sections. England has never been beaten in any category in the Home Internationals, at junior, senior or veteran level, but the Irish men's over-50 team, led by David Gotto, the world record holder for the most number of squash caps at senior level, is hopeful of springing a surprise at Fitzwilliam and Mount Pleasant, where the tournament is staged this evening and tomorrow.
