Albania v Northern Ireland:Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington insists David Healy has "a long way to go" to reach the level that turned him into their record scorer. Healy, 30, is stuck on 35 goals and didn't score in international matches last year.
He was a substitute against Serbia at Windsor Park in November. Since then he has joined Ipswich on loan from Sunderland. Worthington said: “I have watched David and you can tell he has not played football for a long time on a regular basis. It shows the effect it has in physical sharpness and the mental sharpness.”
The squad trained on an artificial pitch yesterday as the surface at the riverside Qemal Stafa Stadium was waterlogged.
Jonny Evans has returned to Manchester United because of a knee problem.
Scotland v Czech Republic (Hampden Park, 8pm. On TV: Sky Sports 1)
Kris Boyd has failed to make the starting line-up for Scotland’s friendly against Czech Republic as he bids to end his self-imposed international exile. The Rangers striker is set to start on the bench at Hampden tonight.
Ibrox team-mate Kenny Miller will lead the attack, while James McFadden and Lee Wallace have been named in the team despite struggling with injury.
If they fail to prove their fitness this morning, Dundee United’s Paul Dixon will make his debut at left back, while Graham Dorrans will replace McFadden.
SCOTLAND: Gordon, Hutton, Caldwell, Webster, Wallace, Robson, Brown, D Fletcher, Thomson, McFadden, Miller.
Wales v Sweden (Liberty Stadium, 7.45pm. On TV: Sky Sports 2)
Wales manager John Toshack has given his side’s young strikers a chance to make the most of Craig Bellamy’s absence tonight.
Bellamy will not feature against Sweden after being overlooked by manager John Toshack. The Manchester City striker is fit after a recent knee injury but Toshack has chosen to look at other options in preparation for the start of Euro 2012 qualifying next season.
That means a probable strike partnership of Simon Church (Reading) and Ched Evans (Sheffield United) against the Swedes, with Sam Vokes also likely to play some part.
France v Spain (Stade de France, 8pm)
Spain’s Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo will hope to further his claims for a World Cup berth.
Barring injuries, the majority of Vicente del Bosque’s travelling party for South Africa will pick itself and will feature the bulk of the squad that led Spain to Euro 2008 glory.
One of the few spots up for grabs is that of back-up striker to first-choice duo David Villa and Fernando Torres, and their fellow European champion Dani Guiza.
France coach Raymond Domenech has a number of injuries to contend with ahead of the game. William Gallas, Eric Abidal, Andre-Pierre Gignac, Karim Benzema and Sebastien Squillaci are absent, while Everton striker Louis Saha was forced to pull out out of the squad yesterday.
In-form striker Djibril Cisse of Panathinaikos replaces Saha.
Germany v Argentina (Allianz Arena, 7.45)
Germany face an Argentina side which is likely to contain the likes of Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
Michael Ballack may be joined in the centre of midfield by his former Bayern Munich team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger.
If Schweinsteiger is moved inside it could create an opportunity down the right for Toni Kroos or Thomas Muller, who have made a big impression this season for Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern.
