Illingworth to dig in

ENGLAND cricket manager Illingworth says he is determined keep his job, despite the dismal of South Africa

ENGLAND cricket manager Illingworth says he is determined keep his job, despite the dismal of South Africa. Illingworth, chairman of selectors, is set for criticism when he returns from South Africa, where England lost the Test series 1-0 and the one day series 6-1.

"I know there will be people gunning for me when I get home. I suppose that's inevitable after the results we've had," Illingworth said, "whatever happens in next World Cup, I want to stay on in job."

The Yorkshireman also added: don't want to tour again - I've enough of travel and hotel rooms - but I'd like to stay through next summer to keep some continuity in what we've been trying to do."
