JUNIOR FINAL/New York 0-9 Wicklow 0-9:LAURA HOGAN came off the bench to rescue Wicklow and deny New York a sensational victory in the junior football final.
The replay has been fixed provisionally for October 8th but much depends on whether the Exiles will be able to to cover the cost of making a return journey.
Emma Clarke was the star for New York, providing all bar one point of their tally, while Lucy Mulhall contributed five points from play to Wicklow’s tally.
The sides were level at 0-5 apiece at the interval but Hogan notched an early point to put her side two clear.
New York came roaring back and a couple of Clarke frees helped push them in front before Hogan struck late on.
