Waterford United continued their remarkable revival with a fifth win from six games to beat Bohemians at Dalymount Park last night, a Robbie Griffin goal being the difference.

It's been an injury-plagued season for the local-born Griffin, but he wore the biggest smile last night after only his second league goal of the season, in the process giving Waterford every chance of beating relegation. Griffin had hit a post inside the first minute of the second-half, but he made no mistake in scoring the game's only goal on the hour.

It was a fine second-half revival by Waterford after Bohemians had owned the first 45 minutes.

BOHEMIANS: Dempsey; O'Connor, O'Driscoll, Mullen, Brunton; P Byrne, Hunt, T Byrne, Mooney; Swan, Lawlor. Subs: Kelly for Lawlor (76 mins).
