Greencastle in bloom

Greencastle's women are on course for the double in the North West. Already through to the League final, they qualified for their first Marie O'Donnell Trophy decider when beating neighbours Ballyliffin 6-4 in last week's semi-final. Greencastle, who lost out in the semi-finals two years ago, won the home leg 3 1/2 1 1/2 and collected the necessary two points in the second leg at Ballyliffin with wins from Frances Hallis and Theresa Ross and Celine Houston and Helen Cosgrave. Other members of the successful Greencastle team include Gemma Hegarty, Betty Gallager, Hilary McCloy, Veronica McLaughlin, Marie Higgins and Rosie Browne.
