Frank Gannon won the Mid-Amateur Trophy for the third successive year at Grange on Friday

Frank Gannon won the Mid-Amateur Trophy for the third successive year at Grange on Friday. The Skerries scratch player had rounds of 74 75 to win by one shot from Tony Brannock with another Newlands member, Dermot Bradshaw, five shots back in third place.

In a busy week at the Grange, Paul Carey (Corrstown) won the Standard Life Dublin Boys' championship with a 36-hole total of 140 off a three handicap. Grange players Killian Duffy and Donal Dunlop took the runners-up and third places on 143 and 146 respectively. The nett also went to the home club with David Doyle (13) shooting 127. Best in the under-17 category was Gareth Bowden of Bodenstown on 150.

In the Sisters Lady Drive Foursomes, Mary Collins (Arklow) and her sister Catherine Demery (Greystones) took the main award with 43 points.
