Garbally College 30 St Joseph's, Galway 0:GARBALLY COLLEGE, the most prolific winners of the Connacht Schools Senior Cup but who have only one title in the past decade, advanced to the semi-finals of this year's competition with an easy win at Ballinasloe yesterday.
St Joseph’s enjoyed a lot of possession during the opening half when they had the wind but were left chasing the game following a breakaway try from scrumhalf David Murray after 21 minutes.
Centre Ross Keller, who finished with 15 points, landed the conversion and a penalty for the 44-times winners to lead 10-0 at the break. Keller killed the game as a contest within a minute of the restart with a try and with prop Jacob Walshe, winger Conor Loughrey and Murray to the fore, they booked a date with Sligo Grammar with tries from Walshe and fullback Matthew Tierney.
