Tipperary’s Séamus Callanan cleared to play in league semi-final

All-Star free to take on Waterford after red card picked up against Offaly is rescinded

Tipperary’s Séamus Callanan has been cleared by the GAA’s Central Appeals Committee to play for the county in Sunday’s hurling league semi-final against Waterford.

The current All Star full forward had been suspended for a red card shown in last month’s quarter-final against Offaly.

Initially the county said that they would not challenge the one-match suspension for striking but it has emerged that an appeal had been taken and last night it was granted.
