STUART MASSEY stunned Premiership side Forest with a last gasp equaliser to earn battling second division outfit Oxford United a fourth round replay at the Manor Ground.

Massey made Forest pay dearly for squandering a hat ful of chances, although Oxford goalkeeper Phil Whitehead was in inspired form.

Forest had looked on course for a fifth round home tie with Tottenham when former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell fired them into a 53rd minute lead with a solo effort. Campbell burst on to a fairly innocuous Bryan Roy pass and then scythed his way through the Oxford defence before burying his low shot past Whitehead.

The hosts should have gone further ahead five minutes later bat the hard working Andrea Silenzi saw his ferocious drive crash against the bar. Silenzi went close again in the closing stages but his low drive was brilliantly saved by Whitehead.

From that point on, Oxford pressed hard for an equaliser and big defender Matt Elliott almost delivered in the 87th minute with a near post flick from a Jocy Beauchamp corner.

But moments later the same set piece worked effectively for Oxford and Massey was on hand to tuck away Elliott's flick on.
