SHAMROCK ROVERS moved out of the bottom four to go one point ahead of Finn Harps after their victory at Finn Park last night.

Two first-half goals in the space of 90 seconds earned the victory for Rovers, their second away one on the trot.

Sean Francis scored Rovers' first goal in the 30th minute when his inch-perfect lob dropped in at the far post following Pat Fenlon's corner. Within 90 seconds Rovers struck again, this time through Mark Kenny, whose low free kick beat Darren Nash in the Harps goal.

Earlier in the hall, Harps had got off to the perfect start when James Mulligan opened the scoring in the fourth minute.

Midway through the hall, he volleyed against the post and Chris Malone headed Ciaran O'Kane's drive off the line as Harps searched for a second.

As Rovers held on to their lead, Robbie Horgan produced a number of excellent saves in the second hall, denying Mulligan and Jonathan Speak. Horgan ensured Rogers went home with the three points when he pushed a close-range effort from Jonathan Minnock round the post two minutes from time.
