Drogheda United 0 Sporting Fingal 4: THIS WAS all over at half-time last night at with Sporting Fingal three goals to the good as they comfortably saw off basement side Drogheda United who are running out of games in their bid to avoid automatic relegation.

With the first incident of note the visitors scored after 12 minutes assisted in no small way by a defensive calamity that saw Yael Haro fail to cut out Glen Crowe’s innocuous looking cross which made its way to Conan Byrne who tapped home.

Minutes later Fingal all too easily doubled their advantage when Byrne turned provider from a corner for Colin Hawkins who rose unchallenged to head the ball to the net.

On the run in to half-time two became three as Drogheda’s defence failed to deal with Ger O’Brien’s delivery from the right and Gary O’Neill bundled over the line.
