Fermanagh 1-18 St Mary's 1-11:Fermanagh made it a winning start to their Dr McKenna Cup campaign with a solid seven-point success over college side St Mary's at Lisnaskea.
The county side were to have only a few spells of anxiety over the course of the 70 minutes and at the finish they were well in command of matters.
Each side scored a goal in the first half with John Cunningham netting for the students and Shaun Doherty replying for Fermanagh to help them to a six-point lead at half-time.
Fermanagh raised their game considerably to dominate the final 20 minutes of the game as they eased to a comfortable winning margin.
