Dr McKenna Cup SF/Fermanagh 1-11 Armagh 0-10:Malachy O'Rourke returned to his old stomping ground and saw his side wield the axe on Armagh's hopes. A fisted goal by Liam McBarron in the 18th minute eased Fermanagh into a 1-7 to 0-4 lead at half-time at Breffni Park last night.
Armagh improved after the restart with a point apiece from Gregory Loughran and Liam O'Hare inside three minutes. Fermanagh had an excellent point by Ciarán McElroy and another free from Ronan McCabe. In the final quarter stout defending by Declan O'Reilly prevented Armagh breaching their defence.
