Fanagan still a force

Former international Rhona Fanagan from Milltown added to her long list of achievements when she won the Irish Senior Ladies Leinster strokeplay championship at Ardee last week. Fanagan shot a gross 77 to beat Mary McKenna (Donabate) by three shots with Valerie Hassett (Ennis) a shot further back in third place. Local Br∅d Fenton won the nett on the break of a tie with a 72 off a 17 handicap from Wendy Clynch (Kilcoole) and Nancy McGuinness (Ardee). The class winners were Anne Healy (Ardee) with a 74, Eilish Moroney (Old Conna) also with a 74 and Molly McGrath (Beech Park) with a 76.
