Flu cost Kieren Fallon a winning ride at Sha Tin on Wednesday. He gave up his three remaining mounts after finishing second on Fortune Partner in the third race.

His intended mount in the fourth race, Winning Year, on whom local rider Eddie Lai deputised, scored by two and a quarter lengths.

Fallon, whose three month Hong Kong contract began on December 1st, has ridden 10 winners in the territory so far.

Police in Britain have confirmed that a 15th man has been arrested in connection with the ongoing police investigations into horse-doping and race-fixing.

The man, in his mid-30's was apprehended at his home in Chesterfield. A spokeswoman for New Scotland Yard confirmed: "The man, in his mid-30's, was arrested in Chesterfield, South Yorkshire, and was taken to South Yorkshire police station.
