AN executive of the company at the heart of a Euro '96 tickets scandal has been found dead five days after being sacked, it was reported yesterday.
Roderick Cornes who was a project co-ordinator for the competition, fell to his death on Tuesday evening as he was climbing with a friend on a cliff in the Peak District, the Daily Telegraph said.
Cornes, who worked for Synchro Systems, the company responsible for printing and distributing tickets, left the firm's employment on Friday.
Police said Cornes, an experienced climber, fell 120 feet onto rocks as he attempted to abseil down the cliff face.
Police fear that more than 100,000 rival fans will not be segregated during the championships.
