ESCRITO, short headed by the consistent L'Opera in a nine furlong conditions race at Leopardstown, looks to have it all to do for a three year old in today's featured Harp Lager Handicap at Listowel. But this is not a particularly good race and Dermot Weld's charge can give the weight.

Prior to his Leopardstown race, Escrito failed by five lengths to give a stone and a half to the older Hill Society in a premier handicap at the Curragh, where he relegated Grief to sixth place. Hill Society was a very easy winner of a good hurdle race on Wednesday. If Escrito had divided Lacinia and I'm Supposin in another competitive handicap at the Curragh Derby meeting.

King Of Pence receives a lot of weight. Short headed by Escrito's stable companion Bavario in an 0-80 handicap at Leopardstown, he had earlier divided Gates and Graduated over the same course. Prior to that he won at Dundalk.

Calisar did not run a bad race on Wednesday and this two furlongs longer trip might suit. Draft Of Vintage won his maiden at Roscommon, but Escrito is due a turn.

Cuban Question, a comfortable winner on Wednesday, carries a 6lb penalty in the Southampton Goodwill Handicap Chase which has attracted Twin Rainbow, beaten a length by the David Nicholson trained Billygoat Gruff in the valuable Heineken Gold Cup on soft ground at Punchestown in April. He might need this race, however, while Merry People needs fast ground. Cuban Question is taken to complete his four timer.

Richard Dunwoody has prospects of a double with Life Saver in the Louis O'Connell Memorial Novice Chase. The selection beat Monday's winner Kentucky Baby by four lengths at Ballinrobe. Nordic Thorn was short headed by An Maineach at Roscommon, but the latter was not at his best on that occasion.
