LIMERICK have made two changes to their team for Sunday's replay of the Munster hurling final against Tipperary in Pairc Ui Chaoimh while the injury doubt about Declan Nash has lifted and he has been declared fit and will play.
Tipperary have named Paul Delaney and Nicky English in their starting line-up, Delaney at left wing back and English in the left corner of the attack.
The Limerick selectors have retained the two experienced players whom they introduced in, the second half of the drawn match - Frankie Carroll and Mike Galligan - on either wing of the attack. Padraig Tobin and Shane O'Neill are relegated to the substitutes' bench.
Brendan Carroll and Tommy Dunne are relegated to the Tipperary bench as Delaney and English regain their places in the starting line-up.
The Limerick selectors have left their defence intact but have made widespread alteration to their attack. Only two forwards retain the positions they occupied last Sunday at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. Gary Kirby remains at centre forward and Owen O'Neill is in the right corner forward position, although he was replaced late in the match.
Damien Quigley is now at full forward, with T J Ryan in the left corner spot. Mike Houlihan and Sean O'Neill will be in partnership at midfield.
The fact that Padraig Tobin has been left out will cause some surprise since he was instrumental in beating Cork, when he scored twos goals, although his scoring touch deserted him against Tipperary.
The return of English to the Tipperary starting grid was expected after an impressive performance when introduced last Sunday. The return of Delaney is somewhat unexpected, however, hut he is reported to have made a good recovery from injury and his experience is thought to be the deciding factor in his recall.
The interest in the match since the spectacular draw last Sunday has been phenomenal and the authorities at Pairc Ui Chaoimh were forced to put a message on a telephone answering machine yesterday advising callers that no tickets were available from that source.
Callers were advised to contact clubs in the two counties and the Munster Council.
Meanwhile, Wexford have left the centre forward position on their team vacant for their Leinster final against Offaly at Croke Park in the hope that veteran George O'Connor's hand injury will have healed in time for him to take his place in the side.
O'Connor sustained the injury in the Leinster quarter-final against Dublin but indications are that he will play.
The only other alteration to the team involves the switching of Larry O'Gorman and Sean Flood in the left wing defence positions. O'Gorman is now in the corner" and Flood on the wing. Those, were the positions which they filled at the end of the Dublin match.
The Offaly selectors have named an unchanged side for their Leinster final clash with Wexford. With Daithi Regan fit to resume it was thought in some quarters that a place would be found for him, but he has been named as substitute.
The selectors are confident, apparently, that the team which beat Laois will do the county justice, with Regan always giving them a valuable option should he be required.
