Dublin South 2-16 Kilkenny CBS 0-18/(AET: 2-10 to 0-16 after normal time):PETER ELLIOTT'S injury-time goal denied Kilkenny CBS glory following a superb Leinster Colleges senior hurling 'A' league final at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow yesterday.

Kilkenny looked set for victory after four points between the 55th and 60th minutes put them 0-16 to 1-10 ahead. However, Elliott expertly struck a low rasping shot to force extra-time.

At half time in extra-time the teams were still level at 2-12 to 0-18 each before Dublin South added four consecutive points from Kevin O'Loughlin, Sean McGrath and subs Barry Mulligan and Eoin Cronin to seal victory.

Six points from Oisin Walsh (five frees) helped Kilkenny CBS lead 0-9 to 0-5 at the interval.

They still led by four points by the 50th minute, 0-11 to 0-7, before Elliott, who scored 2-3 in total, blasted home a cracking shot to launch Dublin's first comeback.
