DAVID DUVAL, who has never won on the USPGA Tour, had a bogey-free round to open a two-stroke lead after the first round of the Houston Open yesterday.
Duval carded a seven-under-par, 65 to lead three-time champion Curtis Strange, who hasn't won a tournament since the 1989 US Open. Duval finished third in Houston last year and has six runner-up finishes in his career, including one at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February.
