Dublin 0-10 Longford 0-5:IT TOOK Dublin a long time to assert their superiority at Pearse Park on Saturday evening, but Dessie Farrell's side eventually pulled away to win by five points, full forward Gavin Ivory prominent with 0-5 to his credit.

The sides were level at the break (0-3 to 0-3) but Dublin had the advantage of the stiff breeze in the second half and would have won in more comfortable fashion but for excellent saves by Longford goalkeeper Gareth Higgins.

Just a solitary point, 0-5 to 0-4, separated the sides when James McGivney fired over a free for Dublin in the 49th minute but a couple of scores in quick succession from Ivory eased the pressure on Dublin.
