A SUPERB undefeated innings of 86 from Michael Donnelly helped Rush to an eight wicket victory over The Hills and to promotion from Section B of the River House Leinster Senior League at Milverton yesterday. If the two division league is retained Rush in their second summer as a senior club, will next year compete in the upper echelons.

Donnelly, in a superlative batting display, smote 14 boundaries and a brace of soaring sixes. After Darren McCann had departed with only three runs, Donnelly took over and by the time the score had reached 56 for two, he had already reached his 50.

Rush were chasing the meagre 111 all out scored by The Hills, who were put in, after losing the toss.

Mark Clinton had top scored for The Hills with 37.
