Significant development at Carr Golf, includes the appointment of two new members of staff and an involvement in course design through a link-up with architect Ron Kirby, who has worked on Mount Juliet and the Old Head. Among the projects currently in progress is a redesign of Dromoland Castle GC, one of the SWING group of clubs.
Kate MacCann, former director of golf at Mount Juliet, has been appointed head of sales and marketing. Ross Robertson, a former Pertshire champion and British Universities representative player, is expected to open a UK base for the company later this year. Carr Golf, founded by Marty Carr 10 years ago, sees itself as the country's most comprehensive organisation, specialising in the top end of the tourism market.
