The loss of both Peter Hutton and Paul Hegarty is a bit of a nightmare for Kevin Mahon who often suffered last season from having to place too much responsibility on the young players.
A goalscorer was badly needed and Mahon clearly hopes that he has secured a couple with the return of Tommy McCallion to the Brandywell and the arrival of Pβdraig Moran from Sligo. But the local striker will do well to reproduce last season's heroics at Cliftonville.
