Blackburn Rovers have got the expensive players, the plush stands and the moneybags. Now they are setting about dispelling the theory that they lack glitter on the pitch to go with the pots of gold.
The first division play-off hopefuls are through to the fifth round after blitzing Derby with five second-half goals. Before most of the Blackburn players had even worked up a bead of sweat Derby had manoeuvred an opening goal which stemmed from a dubious foul, awarded for Garry Flitcroft's challenge on Stefano Eranio.
The Blackburn defence was guilty of some dreadful dithering and Chris Riggott timed his run to head Craig Burley's freekick beyond Brad Friedel.

Eranio converted a cross from the substitute Lee Morris on 70 minutes to give Derby renewed hope, but straight from the restart Damien Duff crossed from the left and Bent knocked in his second of the night.
By the time the substitute Matt Jansen stroked in Blackburn's fifth on 76 minutes most of the Derby fans were leaving.
An 88th-minute goal from Scott Murray cruelly ended Kingstonian's FA Cup dream at Kingsmeadow. The Bristol City midfielder scored from a narrow angle to set up a fifth-round meeting with Premiership Leicester.
