Tom D'Arcy, one of Leinster's most devoted servants, passed away peacefully on Monday morning after a relatively short illness.

During a lifetime's involvement in the game, numbering some 70 years, he served as president of the Leinster Branch of the IRFU (1992-93), president of his club, North Kildare, provincial representative on the Leinster Branch executive committee, chairman of its disciplinary committee and was a member of several other committees.

Between them his sons Matt, Tommy and Michael and grandson Matthew have represented Leinster at every possible level while representing six different Leinster clubs. Matthew is currently a member of the Leinster Academy.

Our sympathies are extended to his wife, Margot, daughter, Mary, his sons, six grandchildren and sisters, Maureen and Jilly.
