With a powerful display in the second half, Castletown swept aside Kiltegan at Aughrim yesterday, their 14-point win putting them through to the semi-final of the Leinster club championship.

Kiltegan had stayed with their opponents well in the first half, scarcely deserving to be in arrears by 1-5 to 0-4 at the break. Versatile David Cuddy was Castletown's inspirational figure in that second half, hammering home 1-4 from the centre-forward position to underpin his team's superiority.

David Cuddy got the man-of-the-match award for his display but Paul Cuddy, Robert Delaney, John Palmer, Brian Ferns and Padraig Cuddy also caught the eye for the winners.
