Course specialist Peter can outstay his opponents in the Ashleybank Investments Handicap Chase at Carlisle today. Donal Whillans' 10-year-old has never won away from the Cumbrian track and while he rather lacks a change of gear he can gallop on forever.

Take a chance on High Island in the James Halstead Polyflor Novices' Chase. Trainer Mary Reveley paid 34,000 guineas for the seven-year-old, winner of an Irish point-to-point, at the Doncaster May Sales.

The Saltburn trainer also has prospects at Uttoxeter with Brighter Shade in the 49's Tom Edmonds Memorial Handicap Chase.

Reveley can round off a good day's work with Country Orchid in the Ed Weetman Handicap Hurdle. The seven-year-old, a consistent performer, won comfortably at Sedgefield last Thursday, beating Radanpour two lengths.
