Cork shuffle deck as Dublin resist change

Cork make one change and Dublin leave well alone for Sunday's second series of Allianz NFL matches after both getting off to a successful start last weekend.

Cork, though, make a number of positional switches for the trip to Mullingar to play Westmeath. The changes follow the successful tactical adjustment made by manager Billy Morgan in the second-half revival that sank All-Ireland champions Kerry at Páirc Uí Rinn last weekend.

Owen Sexton comes in at wing back, Martin Cronin drops to full back with Derek Kavanagh moving up to centrefield. James Masters, who was replaced by Kevin O'Sullivan, holds his starting place at right corner forward.

"We had been going well in training and I would have been confident of winning. I'd say we were much more advanced in our fitness work than Kerry, who were back from holidays and trips to Hong Kong. But any time we beat Kerry is a good result.

"At times in the first half we were over-anxious and tended to follow the ball a bit like schoolboys but we played very well in the second half."

Dublin's side for the game against Tyrone in Omagh is the same that started the exciting win over Mayo. Barry Cahill missed the match with injury and is still out with Peadar Andrews again deputising.

Alan Brogan, named on the bench the last day, is also out with injury, but Conal Keaney, who recently left the county hurling panel to concentrate on football is again available and is listed among the replacements.

Micheál Meehan could miss Galway's visit to Armagh on Sunday with a leg injury. The player was replaced in the second half of last Sunday's win against Kildare having scored three points. Manager Peter Ford will delay naming his side until tomorrow night.
