Camogie National League: All-Ireland champions Cork added the National League title to their championship crown when they defeated old rivals Tipperary in a thrilling National League Division One final in Páirc Uí Rinn yesterday.

Tipperary had an explosive start when Emer McDonnell hit a goal after only five minutes and one minute later Fiona O'Driscoll replied with a Cork goal to leave it Tipperary 1-1 to Cork's 1-0 after six minutes.

Both sides exchanged some further fine points before Una O'Donoghue soloed 40 metres to crash home Cork's second goal which left them level 2-5 to Tipperary's 1-8 at the break.

The second half was equally exciting with a third minute goal from Fiona O'Driscoll only for Tipperary full forward Deirdre Hughes to send a second goal to the Cork net six minutes later.

Further fine points from O'Driscoll, Orla O'Sullivan and Colette Desmond saw Cork bring home the AIB Cup for the 12th time.

Meanwhile, the Division Two final saw Galway overcome Armagh 1-11 to 2-5 in Ballymacnab. Galway's all -important goal came just before the half time break from top scorer Emma Kilkelly.
