NFL DIVISION TWO:Cork 0-19 Armagh 1-7

CORK DEMOLISHED a weak Armagh challenge at Páirc Uí Chaoimh yesterday to claim a place in the National Football League Division Two final. The Rebels needed to win and hope other results went their way to be assured of a place in the decider.

Kildare’s draw with Meath meant the Rebels finished a point clear, though they enjoyed a superior points difference, too, to set-up a rematch with Monaghan.

Apart from a brief spell in the opening quarter, when Armagh tacked on three points to draw level, Cork were always in control.

He was the outstanding figure, finishing with a game-high five points, but also contributing to other scores as the visitors couldn’t cope with his speed.
