Ulster-man Darren Corbett will attempt to add the vacant British cruiser-weight title to his Commonwealth belt when he faces Londoner Bruce Scott on November 28th at Belfast's Ulster Hall. Corbett had been nominated to challenge Sheffield's Johnny Nelson, who subsequently vacated the title in order to pursue a showdown with Manchester's WBO champion, Carl Thompson.

The British Boxing Board of Control then nominated Jamaican-born Scott to face `Raging Bull' Corbett for the vacant championship.
