DAVY CONDON will be on duty at Killarney this evening after yesterday announcing his split from the leading English trainer Nicky Richards, writes BRIAN O'CONNOR.
The Co Cork-born rider spent a successful year with Richards, where their winners included Monets Garden in the Peterborough Chase, and said: “I really enjoyed my experience over in England and I’m looking forward to returning to Ireland.”
Condon rides his old ally Homer Wells in the handicap chase this evening but the second day of the Killarney festival should see the Ruby Walsh-Willie Mullins again dominating with Sports Line looking good for the Beginners Chase and Quadrillon an interesting recruit to jumping in the opener.
Apt Approach will be another fancied Mullins runner in the conditions hurdle but is conceding a lot to Faltering Fullback.
