COLÁISTE EOIN are through to the last four of the Leinster Colleges A hurling competition.

Oisín Ó Ruairc led the way with six points for Aodh de Paor’s team in Ayrfield yesterday.

And with Ó Ruairc and Marc Schutte the protagonists for the South Dublin School in the first half, Coláiste Eoin had opened up a 0-5 to 0-3 lead heading towards the break.

But with John Hetherton impressing on the 40, North Dublin went on a 1-3 scoring run which was to culminate in a 28th-minute goal for full forward Ciarán Kilkenny.

An Ó Ruairc free was to offer Coláiste Eoin hope as they trailed 1-6 to 0-6 at the interval.

And the second half saw Eoin hold North Dublin scoreless from play, with Schutte, Aran Ó Murchú and Ó Ruairc leaving them two points up heading into an injury time.
