TIPPERARY forward Séamus Callanan has revealed he broke a collarbone playing for Limerick IT in last Wednesday’s crucial Fitzgibbon Cup victory against Waterford IT.
Callanan sustained the injury in a challenge with Tipp native Ray Moloughney and was transferred to Limerick’s St John’s hospital where X-rays revealed the full extent of the damage. “They’re talking two months,” said Callanan. “Usually, it takes six weeks to get the bone back solid and then another two weeks to get movement back in it.”
